Former Professional Football Player, Coach and Assistant Manager

Steven began his playing career at Millwall FC, before a move to the Premier League where he spent the next 12 years at various different top flight clubs. Whilst playing elite level football Steven also earned 23 caps for Rep of Ireland and played in the 2002 World Cup.

Steven’s coaching career began at Reading FC along with Steve Clarke, helping them to a championship play-off final before moving on to Crystal Palace FC alongside Roy Hodgson. He then helped the Scotland national team to their first tournament in 22 years at the 2021 EUROS. Steven’s success then continued at club level as he helped Nottingham Forest return to the Premier League after 23 years. 

After promotion, Steven decided to pursue a career in Wellbeing & Counselling studies, helping others in sport & beyond, deal with the challenges of elite performance.
